Right on, Moonray... we should have a couple of nice rate cuts...and perhaps even a couple more after that! What makes me almost convinced that we are NOT going into the bear market? Because so many people think we COULD. We WILL go into the bear market when everybody is positive that we can't.
The Mystic One was just saying how lonely it was, looking around the SI thread for any bulls! That shouldn't lead into a bear market, Moonray.
For some of the aforementioned reasons, I feel like we are at about 1965, headed for that PE peak in 1969. OK, so '66 was rough... and '70 was a wake up call. So I'll grow really cautious when we hit the next peak.
The "Japan Fix" has got to be some form of flooding the Japanese economy with liquidity... We should benefit from that. So my expectation is that will be part of the driving force, along with low interest rates, for the '98 boom economy.. For me that means we get an early upturn in the market.. like Mar/April, maybe? But no bear market (I hope <g>) dlo
