Hal: I forgot that DSC has 6 Million DLC lines installed in the US. That was 6 months ago, depending on the BA installs, it could be higher. Since Lucent has 25 millions lines of the SLC-96, SLC-5 and SLC-2000, I'll assume that the SLC-5/SLC-2000 has over 6 million lines but < 25million lines.... until later. Westell's Marc Hafner, senior vice president, business development global alliances, added, "Given that there are 25 millions lines off of Lucent's SLC systems in networks across the country, incorporating the DSL capability into the SLC opens the availability of high speed data services to a huge customer set." lucent.com ...
