Bless your heart Berney ..

I believe that what window dressing that will take place before the end of month took place today .. part of the "fill the gap" move and most of what took place from 3 through 3:30.

From what I've seen, end of month runs up two days before the ned of the month then there is a pause on the last day of the month then the first couple of days of the new month run up.

There is a general downward move that is weighing on the market. It feels heavy, if you know what I mean. It's like .. every time that there is a fork in the road that it could go either way, the lower road gets the vote.

Then every piece of good news is being used to sell. This has become a major pattern.

Anyways .. these three patterns combine

Last day of month month flat.
Major weight overhang (read as a general negative slope)
New sell any spike pattern.

Tomorrow will probably see more selling. Then next week will probably see slight movement up until perhaps Friday then the resumption of movement down.

It is possible that some large players start to revert to buy the dip .. but I think that that habit is being spanked lately and these folks will slow down on that kind of trade until a solid bottom sets in.

I'm thinking that it may be sometime in 2002 before I put the 401k in again.
