I just read through the whole PM 9/11 debunkment. Although it eased some concerns I've held in some areas, it didn't ease all of them.

I still hold some doubts relative to the collapse of the twin towers, mostly due to the fact they state that substances in the building--not only the jet fuel--contributed to the collapse of the integrity of the steel. I did find it interesting, however, when they pointed out that the steel did not have to melt in order for the floors to give way--this is worth reconsideration.

I still find something fishy about the state of condition of NORAD, and its response or lack thereof. For example, it's hard to believe our nation was protected by so few planes on that fateful day, this especially since there were numerous warnings of potential hijackings or terrorists incident. I would think anytime the president would be somewhere in the country, not in Washington, that there'd be a higher state of alert.

The Popular Mechanics team debunkment didn't address the cell phone controversy at all. Why didn't they?

Somehow, I hold a feeling that the conspiracy theorists will pick apart much of what the Popular Mechanics investigation showed. It'll be interesting to note the responses.

Myself? I'm not comfortable with the offical versions as to what happened, but I'm also not comfortable with several of the conspiracy theories. Do I think Bush insiders had a motive for what happened on 9/11? You bet I do, and this is what's most troubling for me. I wish I could shake this thought out of me, but it's very difficult--especially when history has shown that events have been manufactured before in order to achieve certain results: read Tonkin Gulf incident/Vietnam War!!!
