Linux has a 2x to 3x performance advantage and a 10x stability advantage of msft viri OSes du jour. Every day the mindshare in unix/linux increases relative to msft. This is not anti msft, this is just what is happening. msft has no power to extort the installation of msft on shipped hardware. In general I see the linuxifacation of mindshare as a positive for all companies unix/linux and not helpful to revenue growth at msft. tom watson tosiwmee
