...and all that money doesn't even cover park maintenance and half the players' salaries.

Actually that's exactly what baseball does. The real money comes from television. You know, where the game is available across electronic networks so millions can watch for free and club makes money from billboards and commercials based on how many watch the game. That's YHOO...advertiser-supported Internet television. ...with a growing dose of revenue sharing by some sponsors thrown in.
