Netflix is trying to change the way video is done and marketed. Right now there is competition for quality TV. Some of the cable channels have been in it for a while, like HBO and AMC. So Netflix has tough competition. But House of Cards and Orange is the New Black have done well for them. Now they are going for round 2, spending money and taking risks. They are investing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Daredevil, The Punisher and some other properties. If they are on par with Daredevil, there is some great video coming. There are also experiments like Sense8 and to a lesser extent, The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.

I don't have hbo or amc so this is my first experience with quality video........and I love it. I'll have to check out TUKS.

Netflix has got to be concerned with Amazon's move onto their home turf. A smart move for them is to leverage the info they have of their subscribers and produce content optimized for their demographics. House of Cards is a perfect example of that. Kevin Spacey is popular with their subscribers. So are politically oriented movies. No doubt they crunched dozens of categories and House of Cards is the result. I imagine that Sense8 had something similar done. Look at the cast, a little over half of their subscribers are Millenials, a relative few are Boomers or GenX. So expect more like Sense8.

Amazon may be over extended..........in the last couple of months, they have been ratcheting back some of their expansion plans here in Seattle. I have rented movies from Amazon and the quality of the video is much less than what Netflix is offering.

What I also like about Netfix is their archive of Super Natural programming. I only started watching SN in the last year so I get to see some of the original episodes thru Netflix. BTW saw second Stitchers.......not so impressed. Still like Whispers though.

No announcement has been made as to season 2. I strongly suspect there will be one the reviews are too good for them to pass. But there is no news as of yet.

Well if Rotten Tomatoes means anything...........Critics' Score: 67%; Audience Score: 91%

I am pretty sure there will be a second season for Sense8
