J_F - You are correct. When the cop pulled up and was getting out of his car the individual was pulling the gun from his waistband when he was shot. The cop took exactly the right action.
Your problem is that you made up your mind about your narrative whIch is based on your twisted bias and now you cannot admit you are wrong and I am right. In your heart you know I am right.
Come on J_F, it will not kill you to say I am right and you were wrong. You know it is true.
Hey, I have been wrong before. With more thought and further contemplation of the evidence I have changed my opinion about things. It is actually liberating to be able to be objective and honest.
The more you protest against the obvious truth the smaller you become.

The cop was rolling on an individual brandishing a handgun. When the cop arrived the individual was facing the cop and in the act of drawing the handgun from his waistband. The cop fired on the individual as he fell away from the individual moving to a safer place behind the cop car as he had been trained and recognizing a threat to his life. End of story.
It was a tragic scenario. The kid is dead. His family is heart broken. The cop will re live this tragic event over and over again the rest of his life. I feel sorry for all of them.

The cop did the only thing he could. All of his training and all that he knew says he did the correct thing.
Cops live a dangerous life. They cannot and should not be put in the position of doubt and second guessing themselves when they are in the heat of an armed confrontation.. Cops who do, end up dead.

Cops stand between anarchy and civilized society. They deserve our support, not condemnation when they conduct themselves as they have been trained to do..
