Carmine,
remember this is a thread about Cramer, not about me or about you.
In an earlier post I think you referred to yourself as an ophthalmologist, which I believe that everyone would concede is a highly respected profession. I also believe that Cramer, who is a publisher, an author, an investment advisor on Wall Street, as well as a fund manager, is also a highly respected professional.
What I read in your postings is that because he (may have) made a major mistake in selling at the recent "bottom", that therefore he is not a professional or should not be considered with respect; rather that scorn and ridicule are apt words for the man.
I would imagine that you carry malpractice insurance to guard against the unlikely situation that you (a professional) might make a mistake and be ridiculed (and sued) by some ingrate who really doesn't understand your profession, the mistakes that can be made or the degree of those mistakes. This ingrate also doesn't care that you were doing your absolute best to help them, and that you are every bit the consummate professional. My point is not to ridicule you, merely to point out that sometimes mistakes are made by the best people with the best of intentions. Yes, Cramer sometimes has an abrasive personality, but he is still a professional.
Virtually every Wall Street professional has made mistakes as great as the one you seem to think that Cramer has made. Remember, Cramer's words are posted for thousands of eyes to read, and sometimes those words are wrong. If you make a mistake, relatively fewer people know about it. It's all in the visibility of the error. And we won't really know for quite a few months yet if Cramer was wrong for selling at a "bottom". For all we know, stocks could reverse direction tomorrow and his real error may have been for writing that apology column.
