I remember 79 as well -- but I have my eyes on the future, and the future holds a sea change in global investment where the world is awash in US dollars that are sinking and gold is emerging as a good alternative. Gold is a small market relative to the currency markets -- that makes it a potentially explosive positional investment -- the next bubble if you like to put it that way. If gold does "bubble" it will not be at $730 spot -- bubble prices will be far, higher than where we are now.
