Eric - You are no fool....It's the free flow cash flow that this company generates. How long can this free flow cash flow continue? With a good management team a long time. They might even be able to grow earnings and sales. Right now, our current management can only show 10% growth and little vision.

Cash, equity and real estate assets account for about $5.50 per share. Vinod stated about $3.00 in cash but failed to mention those equity and real estate assets.

What we really need is an excellent, proven management team. The quickest way to accomplish this is through a friendly merger.

Novell has excellent technology and human resource assets. Some of the best programmers in the world are located here in San Jose.

A merger can be a very good thing for all parties. It must be friendly and it must have the right synergies to make it work for the long term. I know Lucent and Cisco would be a good fit for Novell, but would they be a good fit for the acquiring company?

I really think we need to look to Lucent Technologies...I wonder if they have any interest?

It appears that our present CEO and board are not interested in pursuing this course. We need to let them know it is "OK" to look into these options. Maybe we need to let them know that it is more than "OK" and critical that all of these options be explored...NOW!
