The problem is clearly terminology. Perhaps he would call a spade a "spade" if he just knew what you mean by a "spade." I am quite certain that there is nothing in that proposed legislation that he would think fits with that label. You are apparently refusing to define it. You can hardly blame someone from using your term if he doesn't know what it means. To me in conjures up visions of some kind of star chamber. Surely there's no star chamber in the proposed legislation. The rationing is not personal but broadly based.

So fussing about it being there seems ridiculous. If you and other folks with this issue could just identify the issue with some more meaningful label, a dialog might be possible. Continuing to protest against "death panels" reminds me of folks who, when trying to communicate with someone who doesn't speak English, just speaks English more loudly.
