Jeff, I agree with the thing that bothers you. That's been a nagging worry for me too. But from what anecdotal evidence (including WSJ market summaries, etc.) I can see, the momentum, so to speak, has shifted in the financial press to be: "Okay, I guess nobody is worried about the market going back down. The coast is clear! I be buying...".
Time and again the market usually does the opposite of what the majority of people think. But as of today, I only saw one trader quoted who was cautious, and thought that there may be another spill ahead. The main people quoted in stories were bullish. That was in contrast to the day before, when virtually all traders quoted were very cautious, saying things like "There's still a lot of fear out there". FYI, yesterday IBD said twice in the same story, when citing Monday's dramatic rise: "But volume was lower". But William O'Neil is a big believer in watching the volumes.
