Thanks for sharing that bit of your Naval history-----we land lubbers have no idea. A little change in subject------- back to Senator Byrd -- Hoppy Kerchival's articles often get local W.Va. input-----do see that the most recent message was a trash Bush message whereas the others were respectful of Byrd. Kerchival wrote that Byrd ended up being a good friend of Ted Kennedy's, I do wonder about that----perhaps it seemed that way. There was also no mention of Byrd's meeting with Obama advising Obama to not seek the Presidency and fulfill his term as the Illinois Junior Senator. wvmetronews.com
