Marc,

Well, I am particularly optimistic about Japanese market this quarter
based on:

- New G3's series sales in that area coupled with successful snail
ads;
- Economic stimulus package furnished by Japanese government along
with Macworld event;
- Currency exchange favorable to Apple revenue, it is estimated about
7%-10% revenue increased due to the U.S. dollar depreciation;
- Continuing the trend of strong overseas sales when compared Q1 of
'98 (50%) to Q4 of '97 (47%);
- Traditionally strong sales in Japan in Apple's Q2 (January-March).

Street analysts still recommand Apple as "buy" this week:
