<<One in Four Californians Considering Moves Toward Lower Prices >>>

That was a useless study.

The same has been going on and the same attitudes existed since I bought my first Calif home in 1954.

I moved out twice.
Once in 1960 to Seattle when I couldn't find an affordable acre in CA, and once in 1995 to Texas when I couldn't afford even 1/2 a Calif house.

One friend moved "out" from Manhattan Beach to the barren hills of Palos Verdes where he bgt a lot for $2400, which he recently sold for $750k with the house.

Another moved "out" from Long Beach to a vacant tract in Dana Point where he bgt a lot for $2000.

The author neglects to say that rich are getting richer and moving into those choice beach areas.

Expect more of same (rising costs) , especially when
inflation kicks in.
