Actually, if what you care about is the justices, you really shouldn't care all that much.
Republican nominees have rarely shown much in the way of strict conservative leanings.
Of all the Republican nominees in the last 20 years, only 2 have been consistently hard line, while 3 have shown considerable moderation. There are currently 7 members that are Republican nominees in what is a BARELY right-tinged court.
By almost every objective criteria, this court is among the most moderate in quite some time DESPITE the overwhelming number of Republican nominees.
It is Republicans that have much to worry about. Democratic nominees have rarely shown much in the way of backing off from their partisan positions.

The single major reason for NOT wanting a Republican nominee on the court is the abortion debate. Yet the Republicans have 7 justices, and they still can't overturn it.
