Where might that be? Will they buy the land? Are there people living there now?

Do you think moving the Jews somewhere else is a practical and realistic proposal or is it just an emotional feeling, a sort of venting?

I am always surprised at how few people can see the situation through the eyes of a people with a cruel history like that of the Jews. The security of Israel feels, to them, like a life and death matter. Jews all over the world have abundant reason to feel that the existence of Israel is all that guarantees the survival of their descendants. Why shouldn't they feel that way? I have Jewish friends in this country who live in a state of perpetual and increasing low-level fear for their children. Maybe they're crazy. They do spend more time than is healthy listening to talk radio on black stations and to a very PC Pacifica station. (Anti-semitism is getting increasingly PC.) I feel a strange lack of certitude when I tell them they're paranoid, though.

I agree that a more critical stance as regards U.S. support for Israel has been in order, especially respecting, for example, the steady expansion of settlements in the West Bank. See the David Grossman article I posted earlier, if you missed it.
