Her problem is that she is looking at over a dozen indicators, and they're nearly all out of date.

The market for the last five years, and the next five, has been driven by only two things; Cash flow into stocks and mutal funds, and interest rates.

For the first, see Harry Dent "The Great Boom Ahead", in which he shows the effect of the baby boomers investing for retirement.

The second is more short term, and is the reason everyone looks a every government report on jobs, wages, inflation, ANYTHING that might give an indication of the direction of interest rates.
