It's glib but true, "It takes money to make money." Now if we can just sell enough product to meet the debt charges, and a wee bit more, we'll be all right.

About the trucks; we were sitting in a diner at the corner of Merivale and Hunt Club having breakfast one morning about three weeks ago and lo and behold we saw a great big refrigerated truck ($50,000?) rolling by with the "Ben & Jerry" logo along one side. You know, that's the totality of advertising I've seen. Period. None in any paper, billboard or supermarket flier, TV, or radio. A couple of press releases, and nothing else. BWDIK!

I haven't heard or seen anything of Cadbury's or Neilson's or Weight Watchers. I'll try them all when they arrive.

One of the Loeb cashiers didn't know the price of a pack of Mister Cookie Face ice cream sandwiches and had to ask someone to go look it up on the shelf. Why the scanner didn't have the answer is a mystery. Anyway, not very impressive. And they're one of my favorites. My wife told him we were likely the only ones who bought them!! Not an encouraging comment. From my wife yet!! Such a pessimist. ;-)

I've still got all my DD shares. I don't sell often. Another one of my failings! :) Guess I'll keep them for my retirement! Wait a minute, I'm already retired! I'll just keep them for a rainy day then. And hope to break even some day. Soon. Then the profits. Dreamer! That's me.
