My opinion for what it's worth! BellSouth picks Criser as state president
tallahassee.com

I think the new BellSouth Florida state president openly speaking of BPL as competition should wake up any the over 3000 Utilities in the US that aren't already considering BPL. It most certainly will wake the discerning investors up to the fact that it's here, it's real and it's spreading. BPL has been encouraged by the FCC and President Bush. The home networked and Internet ready appliances are already being designed, built and sold. VOIP is already successfully being offered over BPL and will contribute to the utilities income from leased lines.

From the article-
Criser said that there was a "very lively mix" of competitors in the communications industry and that the advent of voice over Internet protocol (VOIP) and broadband service over power lines means the industry will be even more competitive.

Not to over analyze this but if the article is correct and Criser did use the phrase "the advent of" to describe VOIP as well as BPL and he understands how powerful a word (ad.vent) is. I think the whole BPL industry was just legitimized by someone in a position to know who the competition is.

From dictionary com
The coming or arrival, especially of something extremely important: the advent of the computer.

After a statement like that I would expect Ambient to be taken a lot more seriously and interest to pick up in the only BPL pure play. The products that were planned for commercialization beginning late 2004 early 2005 are installed and working at the Princeton House and other trials and there is a conference in Vancouver this week.
Ambient is providing all the equipment to the Utility as well as the building owner and end user (broadband customer). Apartments, condos, towers, malls, factories perhaps even Navy or private shipping like TKO could possibly use Ambient's proprietary multi-dwelling unit (MDU) PLC nodes.

Intellon announced yesterday that it is showcasing their homeplug AV technologies at a national show and will demonstrate how cable operators can benefit from using HomePlug products to save time and money on broadband modem, VoIP and home networking installations, extend the range of WiFi, and provide reliable whole-house connectivity for a full complement of data, voice and video services..

I assume Ambient builds or has built for them the PLC modem offered with the Earthlink trial and pictured with the Ambient logo on it on the Earthlink quick start guide.
I think the opportunities are endless for Ambient to successfully market some or all of their products to many different customers and using the DS2 200mb chip buts them near the front of the BPL/PLC providers.

I believe Ambient has been and will be taking many visitors from their New York office to the trial sites before the official tour by utility and industry insiders during the June New York BPL conference. I think Ambient is ready to build, sell and install underground, in building and possibly above ground as soon as they sign a contract with a customer.

The first customers may be US or foreign but I agree with whoever said the PPS is depressed for a reason. The market wants it's shares back and when interest grows and worthy news comes I don't think revenues will matter at all for the initial run up. IMO with the right news the PPS will grow two to three times it's past highs through investment by both speculators and those who know Ambient's future value!

We all should know that we have very little control over what this stock will do at the moment. We'll have to wait. The industry is heating up, Ambient will make some deals, new investor interest will grow and those with all the shares will decide they have enough and let it go. I foresee deals and production soon with Prs and interest building into the end of June and beyond. Now is the time to add to your position while you can. Things have never looked better for Ambient in my opinion and I'm sure the new employee's are doing their jobs quite well!

Not to compare but TKO is in building and doesn't have utility applications. TKO's PPS has ranged from 1.81 to 6.85 in the last year and a half.
