FYI:

A big block (about 120,000) moved at 3 today, evidently without a matching buyer. NTEG was bid 3, ask 3 ¬ for about 10 to fifteen minutes and then a buyer stepped in and took the block at 3 ¬. The bid changed over the next several hours from 3 bid 3 3/8 ask or 3 1/8 bid 3 « ask, etc. and about 20,000 shares traded hands.

At the close the bid went from 3 1/8 to 3 «, asking 3 3/4, with 5000 bid at 3 «. That tells me that at today's end, either the market makers were short or there was a buyer who went unsatisfied, and the "sold" supply at lower levels was exhausted. Now I don't know what tomorrow will bring, but this has the makings of a first leg for a short term bottom.

Best of luck,

Steve
