Pat--

You caught me at a good time, wife's nursing the infant. I have also followed the ADSL sector for over two years, WSTL in particular, AMTX as a secondary. I believe you are correct in all your observations, especially in the embarassment stage. Maybe that is why Seamans is gone from the poker table.

If WSTL were to get BT, and most of a BT contract, it would be a major coup. BT is the largest telephone company in the world today, or so I've been told. That is assuming BT would be serious about rolling out ADSL.

The reason I said GTE ILEC is the reason I'm sure you're familiar with. Only WSTL & AMTX have been tested there publically. With AMTX out of the picture, that leaves WSTL holding the ADSL bag. It is a good sign that GTE CLEC chose WSTL. Admittedly, a different portion of the target market, but still a good sign.

So where does this leave us? How much are all the current WSTL contracts worth, including a potential GTE ILEC contract. What would be the stock price given maybe 350,000 WSTL units sold by end of year '99. My figures may be low to some, high to others.

Have a Happy New Year yourself, and glad to know you are onboard the good ship Westell. Lets not do a remake of the Titanic here.

Hal
