The tide you see is one where Canadians are sympathetic towards the troops of our allies. Thanks for your input on what is happening in my country with the people I speak with. The tide I see turning is anger at the Canadian goverment and fear of permanent damage to our relationship with the US. There is some support for American troops but that feeling is very muted in Canada, nowhere near what it is in the US. The CBC is becoming Al Jeezera in English. (OK, that's a little over the top but the public debate in Canada is between the strong anti-American position and the weak anti-American position - Is America Evil or simply Stupid?) Paul
