Isn't Hope Brook owned by that dynamic low cost producer called Royal Oak? Hope Brook only made money on the open pit, the rest was a financial disaster. And Noranda and others blew their collective brains out on the Baie Verte. There was also some action down at Cape Ray but more of the same. Bad geology, lots of faults, schists and no continuity. Lousy grade too, worse than Quebec. Tell me one gold or base metal property that has made money there other than Buchans and the very (1870's) early small copper properties?
