Pat. BA has a news release concerning the development of
Stargazer.

bell-atl.com

Recently, Sep-Dec 96, BA did a high speed internet trial using
1.5 mbps ADSL modems. I am curios why JW mentioned that
BA is testing Amati modems when you said in your AGM report
that all the telcos except BA are testing Amati modems.

Here is something in MOT's web site that may provide
additional information about the CG chip.

There is also a chart buried somewhere that can be used
to calculate the power consumption of the DSP chips.
The last time I tried to work it out, I came up with 1 watt for
the CG chip and 1.5watt for the line driver but I may be
wrong.

Here is something in the NEC web site that describes their
broadband multimedia system.

There is a picture of a cabinet with a lot of computer cards
inside which they called the Optical Network Unit (ONU).
Did you see something like that during your AGM visit?

Regards

Louie
