Ed, This deal has the same merits as giving chief officers in a
company options to buy stock in the company at an attractive price.
If they manage the company well, the stock goes up and they can
exercise their options getting the stock at a big discount to the
market price.

Since Intel is marketing MRV components, there is now an incentive
for them to sell lots and lots so MRV does well, the stock goes up,
up, up way past $20 and they make a tidy profit when they exercise
the warrants. At least that's how this old nurseryman sees it. Someone
please correct me if I'm wrong.

By the way, I thought I saw a 274000 share transaction zip by late
yesterday. Did anyone else see it? I wonder if Intel was buying a
little extra early and cheap or maybe this was an insider trade? Do
any of you guys with sophisticated equipment and/or contacts know
what this was?

P.S. This is my first post and I want to thank Dan S. for straightening
me out on some incorrect analysis posted on AOL many weeks ago. I've
bought several times since. The first time was at 23 and I was kicking
myself because my screwed up analysis had caused me to miss buying at
19. What a pleasant surprise when I was recently able to buy at 17 3/8.
Would have bought more when it dipped to 16 but I was away from the
computer just long enough to miss 16. Could have had it at 16 1/4 but
got greedy and set my limit at 16 1/8 and it never filled. Thanks to
all the great info on this board, I've never doubted MRV's future.

Don't over do the turkey tomorrow.
