Hi, Bill!!! You've been awfully quiet for awhile. Hope everything is okay with you.

Yes, you wouldn't want to mess with Miss Penni!!! This thread is no place for pansies when she is patrol. I believe there are some discussions of militarizing our gummi bears as back-up troops in case we have any really mean and nasty visitors. It's going to take us forever to teach the gummis to march in a straight line, however, an exercise in frustration like herding cats or something. Miss Penni is getting tired of standing there in bikini and boots while the guys all drool at her. I think she must have forgotten it's winter almost everywhere.

I have to say in all fairness that the tone of the Ask John Galt thread has changed quite a bit in the last few days. When he came back from Thanksgiving he started writing me poems over there. Three so far, and I think the most recent one is probably the one I like best. I'm a little puzzled because after he wrote the last one he disappeared from sight. I like to think of him sitting in a garret somewhere, all hunched over with his dictionary beside him, writing more . . .

I liked the saying on your patient's t-shirt. Such a witty bunch the Irish. But I'm not going to even think of asking them to join forces with the gummis. Too much real violence, too many bodies and souls violated and ruined, too much pain . . . In the name of God???
