A small cap company can attract new management and it often goes totally unnoticed by Wall Street. Sometimes you have the contacts to reliably check on the reputation of that mgmt. You might find that relative to the size of the company that they have just picked up an Iacocca or Gerstner. This then becomes a major investment factor. (I did not follow the last half of the first sentence.)
