Software dumping? Like giving away the source code to the public domain? Didn't Netscape's release of their source code basically destroy any other company (other than MS) that ever wanted to write and sell a browser? Shouldn't they be sued into the Stone Age?

1. Netscape refused to give away their browser for free for years, until they were losing too much market share. Then they gave up. This is proof to me that they could no longer compete.
2. They gave away the source code so that everyone could improve/copy/innovate, or whatever they want to do with it.
3. Netscape never was forcing anyone to take their browser.
