Today Brinker cited the recent superior performance of the small cap
versus the big cap indices. He noted that whereas the S&P 500 index
ended virtually flat this past week, important small cap indices such as
the Russell 2000 and others were up between 1.5% to 2%.

Brinker noted the inevitable shift to the small caps by investors now
suffering from big cap vertigo. Is this not a signal of a long in the
tooth bull market?

Further, Brinker noted the surging technology sector and predicted
a "Gonzo" computer buying spree by consumers come Christmas 1997.
Recent substantial gains in Dell and Compaq, he said, are telegraphing
this likelihood.
