I love Tom Wolfe. I don't see where he is Right. He is much more like Norman Mailer, Gloria Steinem, John Updike, etc than Falwell, Jones, Robertson, etc. I don't think he believes in God in the traditional sense. He is from the South and he thinks he understands the Southern Culture. But he is far more at home at the Algonquin than he would be at some ribs place. He is probably more like Clinton than he is like Bush. Clinton can speak from both sides of his mouth (north and south). How do you spell " C O N D E S C E N S I O N" ?
