Free Backup/Recovery/Imaging Software: Macrium Reflect (5.x) Free v EaseUS Todo Backup Free 8.0

<< Macrium looks more robust. >>

Gottfried: Macrium Reflect in its free and various less stripped down versions is generally highly regarded as is EaseUS ToDo. Perhaps you have discovered a meaningful capability of Macrium Reflect I'm unaware of that EaseUS Todo does not provide. To the contrary in addition to very similar basic capabilities there are at least 4 capabilities of EaseUS Todo Backup Free in addition to its exceptional reliability I personally value highly that Reflect Free does not provide. They are ...

• The capability to do Incremental and/or differential backups and recovery.

• The capability to backup and recover individual folders and files.

• The capability to access the recovery software and images from the Windows boot menu prior to OS install.

• The capability to password protect and encrypt the backup images.

Those capabilities are available in the $55 'Standard' version or $59 Professional version of Reflect v5 but not in the free version.

The version of EaseUS ToDo 8.0 Free you downloaded was loaded with a toolbar and malware added by the website you downloaded from. This is Todo from Major Geeks which contains none of that ...http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/easeus_todo_backup_free_edition.html ...
