State of the market video from Leavitt Brothers: State of the Market - YouTube My Mom's maiden name is Leavitt so I have always felt like these guys must be related. As for misunderstanding anything? We have all said things, much less written things, that are misinterpreted. Bottom line, years ago I got a margin call, so that is a sore spot for me. I hope no one else ever has to learn the hard way that a margin account can be a dangerous thing in a bear market. It would be naive of me to believe that will happen. But I will continue to try to share information in the hope that my experience can help others to avoid such a major error in judgement. I occasionally see a note from one of my brokers on margin requirements changing on various stocks. I can tell you that in a bad bear market like we got in 2000 there was not nearly enough advance warning on how quick margin requirements were to change. Anyway, you asked for charts and tables on margin levels and I was happy to supply that information. It would be good if we could all back up our statements and thoughts as easily. Now, back to the regular thread content! RtS
