I bought it from Toshiba as I was told by members of this board not to get Windows 8 and every computer at the stores I looked at had 8 on them.

When it came a year ago I tried to use it and it was more complicated than my old 7 year old HP with Vista and you will find as you age that the old and familiar are more comfortable. So the rolling on my HP stopped but I knew it might not be for long. So I had a person come to the house and transfer all the data on my HP to the new Toshiba. I took both computers to NC in the summer as I did not quite trust the HP. Well everything was fine and more and more data kept getting accumulated on the HP while the Toshiba sat plugged in and I would go in and delete emails and update programs..
The rolling started AGAIN on the HP and worse as no matter what I did I could not stop it. I had to manually close down the computer and restart it. It rolled slightly when I did that at restart but then stopped.

So in the interim I have tried using the new Toshiba and I am having a terrible time as I have to sign into
every site and cannot locate sites. I used to hit the minus button on the old laptop and the site I was on would go to the toolbar at the bottom of the page and I could reopen it any time. Now I do that and it disappears.
So I cannot at this juncture copy and paste the things I want and e mail them as I do not know where they went.

AND I could not sign onto S I today so I am late getting on. I do not know how to post from my e mails
to the sites I like as I said I do not know where on the computer those sites are once I hit the minus button.

Today I finally discovered how to make things readable as the print was so small in my e mail l I could not read them. When you are 84 which I am only about 40 days closing in on you will notice this too. Learning new things is hard.

I have a friend who knows computers and comes on Team Viewer and he is trying now to work on why my old computer rolls and rolls at times and nothing is on the screen but rolling and I cannot hit any buttons to make it stop.

In NC the charges are so much less. HERE in Fl, the expenses for EVERYTHING are higher as the people here are so numerous...

I tried to get an Apple like my sister who loves hers and her I PAD but Sue said no you will not maneuver an Apple. She is younger by 8 years and I did not have a computer until I was in my sixties and DOS was what I had and I had the laptop custom made as they gave lessons.....

AMEN I am learning the Toshiba keyboard. It is very different from the HP and I make typing errors like mad.
