OT Press next if you're not into politics.

Canadian Alliance Treasury Board Critic, John Williams reports several Liberal priorities. These are related to the Auditor General's (Ms Sheila Fraser) latest report.

I'll just list one:

$111,000 spent on golf balls.

Sorry, couldn't help it. Another

$9.7 million spent on the Millennium Bureau. It's been two years since the millennium!

I believe the following is a summary from the Auditor General's latest report, but will check the source later.

"Last year, the Liberals wasted half a billion dollars by sending home-heating rebate cheques to 7,500 dead people, 4,000 tax payer living outside Canada, and an estimated 1,600 prisoners. Meanwhile, 90,000 low income people who should have received rebate cheques got nothing."

Disclaimer: I doubt the math adds up, the essence maybe there. It sounds like a politian paraphrasing the situation.
