This is still an issue with CCleaner.

To prevent CCleaner from deleting logs from Windows Defender aka MSE (Microsoft Security Essentials).
  • 1) In the CCleaner program, click the "Applications" tab.

  • 2) Next look for the "Utilities" group.

  • 3) In the Utilities group, uncheck Windows Defender.

This image diagram has Applications and Windows Defender highlighted for clarity, but the yellow highlights will not be there when you open the CCleaner program. Also this diagram is only an example and more or fewer boxes will be shown on individual computers depending on what is installed on that machine.
