I just quit aol after a month. I got busy signals like crazy once they went unlimited. I have only had a computer for a month so am pretty inexperienced. I called for tech help and was kept waiting on the phone for almost an hour. (Ridiculous, my present server has a machine answer the phone when busy and take your info so you can go about your life, even though you do have to stay near the phone, and wait for them t call back. Much more convenient.) When I got the tech help person he was rude. He said my modem was bad (it turned out he was right) and was very rude about it. (Sounded like he was saying "dont bother me until you get a good modem.") Other tech people are courteous and helpful, knowing that when you call them you are already frustrated. I upgraded to a USROBOTICS modem-works great so far.The next phone bill was $200 although my long distance bills are usually $20. I looked into it and aol was routing me hundreds of miles away, but they had the phone number under a list for my city!. Naturally I would never use them again. (I now do check the phone number with my phone company though, live and learn.)
