VANCOUVER, Jan. 29 /CNW/ - Goldnev Resources Inc.

Goldnev Resources Inc. (''the Company'') announces that the Company has
retained the services of Mr. Barry Hassen, P.Eng. of Calgary, Alberta to
assist the Company in the acquisition of projects in the Oil & Gas Sector.
As consideration for the services to be provided by Mr. Hassen, the
Company has agreed to pay him a fee of $5,000 per month for a period of three
(3) months and grant him a stock option to purchase 25,000 shares at an
exercise price of $0.25 per share to January 29, 1999,
Mr. Hassen has a degree in Geological Engineering and has 24 years
experience in the oil industry. He is registered as a Professional Engineer
in the Province of Alberta. His areas of expertise are Western Canada, the
Canadian Frontiers and has been involved with recent successes in the United
States and International exploration areas.
