It seems pretty obvious from Alito's testimony that he plans to rule (eventually) that the life of the fetus has an older precidence than Roe-Wade and will overturn it on that basis.

I haven't seen or heard about anything in his testimony that would make that obvious.

The biological and moral status of the fetus is not a legal precedent, nor is it something defined by the constitution. I would think Alito would look to find something in actual legal precedent or in the words of the constitution, if he wanted to overturn Roe vs. Wade. If he does overturn it I suspect the ruling would not directly be about the life of the fetus but rather by attacking the claim of the constitutional right to "privacy" with "privacy" defined to include the right to an abortion.
