Eric (or anyone else), here's a question related to the killing of Cecil the lion.

Why is the going price for these trophy hunts somewhere in the range of $60K-$120K? Does it really cost that much to set it up, or is this just the result of high demand relative to supply?

The reason why I ask is because the hunter-dentist paid $55K to his guides and only got token assurances that the hunt was going to be legal. It seems to me that for the amount of money involved, there is a HUGE incentive to break conservation laws. And that makes enforcement next to impossible.
