I am now having trouble with both computers. I took the device to the Toshiba from the HP and it worked... also my mouse so that other little device is defective as I also tried to work it on the HP and it would not work.

I also learned that when I reinserted that device back into the HP that a huge message came up and told how many DRIVERS were out of date on this HP and now I do not know whether this is why I get that rolling or not. My sister has no problems in five years with her Apple and keeps telling me to get rid of both of these computers and get an Apple 13 inch screen but I am scared to do this as I depend so heavily on the help that I receive here....

My mouse here a Logitech is as old as the computer.... I just had a hard time getting the computer to work without that message that I was out of date on so many things and to update. But since it was not a message from Microsoft I did not do that but the only way to clear my screen was to restart the computer.. That message would not delete.

I am outdated and need my drivers updated too. Especially when it comes to computers.... Brain power.
Did you ever use DOS ? I did and had to have a technician come to the house at least once every two weeks to get me out of a mess that it got me into with my stupidness . My brother worked for IBM and I had a desktop computer that he recommened.. From there is was NETSCAPE. The Microsoft started programs and I forget the first one but it is no longer in use. Then VISTA... my sweet little program here.

Thank you one and all for advice and help. I blow little warm wishes out over the airways to all of you...
who have kind heart and PATIENCE...
