I assume you are talking about an individual buying the property, here in florida I've never heard of a non-recourse loan in that situation, you could try to buy it through an LLC (these days most properties seem to be held by LLCs) but unless the lender is very stupid they will require you to be personally liable for the note.

Of course it's different if you're Trammell Crow, Inc.
