Short interest is as of 8/15. These are not short term traders. The short interest has climbed steadily for as long as I can remember. We have seen 50s and even 60s in the meantime but that did not shake them out. I would have thought that a lot of covering would have happened when we visited the 20s and 30s. It is baffling to see this short interest keep growing.
