Hello, Art, I read most of your posts on AOL thread, and like them. Several days ago you mentioned :"AOL does not support standard Internet (TCP/IP) protocols for email or usenet newsgroups, because AOL has no POP3/SMTP or NNTP servers."

I have several question:
- what is the chance for AOL to do have POP3/SMTP and NNTP servers in the near future?

- and if they do so, do you think it will be positive for AOL to atractive more member?

- what is the possible reason for AOL to not have POP3/SMTP or NNTP servers?

- does Compuserve hasPOP3/SMTP or NNTP servers?

I don't like AOL's service for the same reason (non-TCP/IP).

Thanks,

Xy
