No, they go with the prices for the area. Costco/Sams/Wal-Mart are all about the same.

The oldest "conspiracy" bit on chains started with A&P. They were accused of lowering prices below cost then raising them after they had run everybody else out of business. Study after study shows this never happened. But it is good grist for the anti-capitalism mill.
