Hedges has much to say about how terrible wars are. They are. He is right about that. Hedges has nothing to say about the horrible leaders who murder and defile innocent people in their own countries, and sometimes, citizens of other countries as well.

If Hedges found his entire family tortured, and then murdered, and thrown into mass graves, what would he do??? Just let the murdering thugs continue to rape and murder his family, then his neighbors, then his entire town...finally a half a million or more people. ???

He doesn't say.

A person who sees that happening and does or says nothing about it, is every bit as guilty as the murdering thugs, in my mind.

Edit: For any who hadn't read his Gaza Diary, here's a link:

It is very easy to carp and complain, and cover ones' head with a blanket. The US did that for years. The terrorism didn't stop. It just got worse, and worse, and finally, one day, we woke up.

Thousands of people were killed that day. Some of them that weren't killed outright, had to jump dozens and dozens of floors to their deaths, because we listened to people like Chris Hedges for years.....and years.
