well, Ford is in a highly cyclical and fully mature industry. Low growth, in which margins are mainly met by brand differentiation and cost controls.
I don't think CPQ is there, YET.

The computer industry is just starting to age. It's still early to call it mature.
Yup, they did get involved. Shiver me timbers. But, the one thing you can say is that all parts of the democratic process were engaged and utilized. It's hard to say it was a distinctly partisan situation, though many are saying that. I find that hard to believe. It's clear there was some partisanship on the SC, but there was clearly more taking place in the FL SC.
Hard to know where to point the fingers. Some clearly need to be pointed.
Bush sullied himself with the initial lawsuit. Gore sullied himself by claiming things showed intent when it was a questionable situation...and through his insistence that he would draw the whole process out.
Nobody looks good. From my perspective, I blame Gore. He would've saved everyone time, trouble and partisan bickering by simply conceding.
Of course, his supporters will say the partisanship came from the Bush camp. I don't see how the person with fewer votes claims that there is a legal issue and tries to create a partisan atmosphere, when he is the person who could defuse the whole issue, can point to the other camp as the "troublemaker".
But everyone wants to blame the other side. |
