Which isn't too say it isn't healthy, but the fact that something is healthy doesn't mean it will help you lose weight.

There is no doubt that you will feel better if you exercise more. But we would find it easier to get people to change their eating habits to lose weight if we didn't try to get them excited about exercising at the same time. It's fine to do it, and I have no doubt will be good for you, but it's not necessary for weight loss.

The more over weight you are, the less you move about. So less weight means more exercise without even thinking about it.

Good motto for most would be:

"Lose weight without exercising!"

That approach would be more successful than our present mantra of "lose weight, exercise, and eat healthy."
