Why should they rush? NT4 is selling way above forecasts, and initial reports on Win98 are favorable. IT people are consistently telling them it's more important to be solid than prompt. There was another IT manager quoted along those lines just a few days ago.

Yes, NT5 is a lot bigger than NT4 and I'm sure they'll need to adjust their development process to deal with it, but they've certainly proved to be adaptive in the past. This same line of worry has preceded every blockbuster MSFT OS in my memory.

BTW, I think your position in Novell will do fine, and from that standpoint NT5 delays may be meaningful. For MSFT shareholders, however, I believe at this point they are not.
